Abstract EN

This research aims to follow colour visibilities in the poetry of Al- Mutanabi: The researcher noticed that colour is present in most of his subjects, and it has an effect on explaining the poetic images, the colour dictionary for the poet is very rich and varied, and his use of it is governed by his psychological state .

As well as, the research aims to know the colour phenomenon on the poet through representing and employing it in his poetry through the vocabularies and colouring context which mentioned in his poetry.

The research is divided into three piovts, the first one is the colour concept, the second is about the direct/ colour, while the third one is the indirect/ implicit colour: and the researcher notices that colour has goodpresence in his book, and its importance in enriching the text from both sides, the form and content.
