Abstract EN

In this study, a soil site index model (indirect method) was developped using thirteen categorical and quantitative environnemental factors (independent variables) including climatic, physiographic and vegetative indicators, as well as soil characteristics.

Site index = 8.30 + 0.98 aspect - 6ه.ه slope - 1.42 rock + 0.25 precipitation + 1.90 dry + 0.37 depth - 1.75 surface.

Although the R2 was not exceptionally high (R2 = .5), it compared almost favorably with the R2 of other published soil site studies.
