الأصوات المتوسطة و الأصوات الذلق : رأى في المفهوم و بيان الخواص

Abstract EN

The Arab grammarians have classified the sounds of Arabic into two main groups.

They have called the First group «الأصوات الئد.دئ» (plosive - stops); they are : الباء — التاء — الطاء ” الدال — الجيم — الكاف — القاف — الهمزة .

The second group consists of what they called «الأصوات الرخوة» (Fricatives).

These Fricatives are : “ الظاء ~ الزاى — الين “ الغين — الصاد — الضاد — الخاء الغين — الحاء ” الهاء اكء - اظء - الدال Then they have noticed that there are certain oth-er sounds which shaw certain similarities to both groups but, at the same time, cannot be included under any of them.

These sounds are :الض - ايم " الزن " اراء " اللام and they have applied to them the term «ررالأصوات الاتوسطة (the intermediate sounds).
