Abstract EN

The study explores the impact of architectural poetic language in the divan (Down the River) for the Jordanian poet Maha Al-Otoum in the detection of the psychological space from which the poetic self grants its obsessions, intuitions, queries, references, pleasures, and insights of the I and the other in the light of semantic, rhythmic and synthetic density, and in the disclosure of the extent to which the poet has control over poetic tools, and her professionalism in writing.

It was found that the poet possesses a poetically eloquent voice; distinguished by its unique architectural linguistic frame where intelligent prudent condensation lies, and the proficient inflection on a poetic, metaphorical, narrative, dynamic, visual, chromatic structure on which all texts are organized, that aligns with the equitable-characterized stepping of the inner self of the poet, and a vision that transcends the special own self touching what is ennobled with love into the preoccupation with the love vision in the collective conscience of man in general , and counts on the receiving acumen in cognizing the rhythmic, semantic and grammatical density that made the whole divan a one poetic text.
