English Abstract

Lately, it has been noticed that companies started to be progressively more interested on relocating their business processes from one country to another.

The rationale that pushes companies to offshore their activities in another country is the attractiveness of the business plans presented by the offshore destinations and the increasing competition among those firms.

This paper provides a critical analysis of the main factors that affect the decision of the firms when choosing a destination.

It also includes a comparison among four different offshore destinations namely Morocco, Mauritius, Tunisia and Senegal, which have for common objective to attract French investments.

This analysis assesses also the competitive advantages existing between those countries.

The primary aim of this project is to evaluate the competitiveness of Morocco as an offshoring destination aligned with Tunisia, Senegal and Mauritius.

In order to accomplish this work and be able to compare the four countries, the business model of each country has been studied.

In addition to that, a location index has been developed and taken into account when making the comparison.

It is important to point out that the location index encompasses the countries’ respective advantages and disadvantages.
