Abstract EN
The purpose ofthis research was to show the importance ofthe locus ofcontrol concept (as apersonality variable) in determining the amount ofeffort a person is willing to exert in hisjob.
The findings confirmed the hypotheses ofthe research.
it was found that internals exert more effort than externals while performing their work.
Therefore, any attempt to increase motivation ought to consider a person locus ofcontrol.

L ’objet de cette étude est de montrer / 'importance du concept localisation du control comme déterminant du ni-veau d ’effort qu'un travailleur fourni dans son travail.
Comme attendu, les résultats indiquent que les employés ayant un control intemefournissent généralement plus d'ef-forts que ceux classés comme externes.
Par conséquent, toute tentative d’augmenter la motivation au travail doit prendre en considération cefacteur qui'constitue une dimension im-portante de la personnalité humaine.
