Abstract EN

The author proposes a critical review of V.Shentoub’s works, in order to outline the major aspects and their progressive application with regard to time.

Almost all ofthe author’s works are discussed.

What comes out ofthis review is that the author’s contribution has known a different historical centring since 1961.

From 1961 to 1978 , V.

Shentoub’s contribution hadknown its best theoretical and methodological coherence with respect to T.A.T.

We can note since 1982 a discreetprogressive reemergence of an interpretive tendency which was denounced and refuted in 1976 at the expense of what constitutes the organiser ofthe whole interpretative process.'the notion of legibility.

This interpretative approach drive away from the theoretical foundings ofthe T.A.T process as theorized by V.Shentoub and its related methodology.

We have to note that this interpretive tendancy is not presented as a new aspect in the approach, and its pertinence is not discussed.
