English Abstract
This paper investigates the impact of the corporate governance mechanisms on the stock price volatility.
A regression analysis was performed to test this relationship based on a sample of eight countries belonging to the MENA region, namely, Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
Corporate governance mechanisms such as auditors, dividend policy, and complexity variables have been used as a measure of performance.
In fact, it is showed that agency variables represented by auditors and dividend policy have not been relevant and have had no influence on stock price volatility neither before nor during the crisis.
However, complexity factors such as sales growth, size have been determinant when measuring their impact on the stock price volatility
