English Abstract

Whether employees are paid based on their competency or origins is questionable, but real cases have proven to state that some groups of nationals are better reputed over others.

In this research, we talk about non-traditional discrimination where the employer does not sympathize or favor people related to his origin, but instead has favoritism towards some nationalities over the others.

We claim that there is a significant discrimination difference in the workplace between Whites and Nonwhites which will result in 3rd world nationals giving more importance to owning dual nationalities as oppose to employees coming from 1st world countries.

Our data has been collected from employees of the MENA region via an online survey.

The sample contains 75 respondents with different nationalities categorized into 3 groups: First World, Third World, and MENA region.

With the collection of data and analysis, results have come up to show that 3rd world nationals are more discriminated than 1st world, and due to this, the perception of 3rd world employees is higher when it comes to the importance of dual nationality.

Our intentions from this research is to tell literature about the untold story of how 3rd world nationals are judged based on their origins and not their skills and how this has resulted in lower salaries relative to 1st world nationals for the same job and with equal qualifications
