English Abstract
This paper investigates whether corporate governance is a price factor in Morocco.
Seven intrinsic control mechanisms have been used to create a corporate governance index that ranks firms into three portfolios.
The first portfolio contains firms with good corporate governance practices, the second with average corporate governance practices, and the third with mediocre corporate governance practices.
Using regression analysis we have found that corporate governance is not a price factor in Morocco because companies with good corporate governance practices do not outperform companies with mediocre or average corporate governance practices.
The paper offers a wide range of interpretation as to the results of this empirical research
