English Abstract
Morocco is considered as one of the emerging countries (hat are evolving in all sectors.
I: is passing by an evolution era that is targeting the growth and development of the country.
As part of this expansion, electronic commerce may help facilitating the flow of services and goods between buyers and sellers and should be part of Morocco's progress.
The project eniiiled *‘A Generic Electronic Marketplace Platform: Application to e-Tourism” falls within the Moroccan expansion and growth objectives.
This project consists mainly of developing an agent based domain independent platform that allows marketplace designers to more easily build specific e-marketplaces such as tourism and real estate.
It also provides some basic services so that it could be exploited simply by making use of the existing support and built in components.
It gathers all the common elements between domain specific electronic marketplaces in order for developers to spend less time and effort on building components that are common across various e-Marketplaces and to focus on their unique functionalities.
The platform uses many tools mainly JADE platform to support the application's software agents and the communication between different components of the platform.
Also, XEkCES was used to parse the XML flies including the agents" profiles and the services, products and members XML files.
In addition, MATLAB is a helpful tool to implement the auction models (market clearing and pricing models) used in the generic platform.
As proof to concept, use case scenarios related to tourism in Morocco have been developed to illustrate how the platform can be helpful in providing support and services to different types of customers (i.e.
tourists) and contribute to the global development of the country.
The use case scenarios provide a structured demonstration of the way e-tourism uses the generic electronic marketplace platform to serve the customers.
