English Abstract

Alcatel-Lucent, one of the pioneers of telecommunications equipment, provides telecommunication solutions to service providers, enterprises, and governments around the world enabling them to deliver voice, data, and video services.

The company focuses on fixed phones, mobiles, and converged networking hardware, IP technologies, software, and their services.

One of the last releases of Alcatel-Lucent is My IC Phone.

My IC Phone is the latest fix device that offers Smartphone functionalities, multimedia experience, unlimited number of applications, and a 7 inch touch screen with wideband audio and HD video display.

The phone embeds other well known technologies such as Dojo and JavaScript.

A set of applications is available for standard users.

For advance phone usage, developers have the ability to develop their own applications in order to answer some specific needs.

To allow programmers to develop applications for My IC Phone we developed a framework that offers all necessary tools for My IC Phone Webapps (Webapplications) development.

The framework includes all necessary tools to finish the My IC Phone Webapp development lifecycle which starts from creating the Webapp skeleton to the application deployment in the phone.

Our framework is developed as an Eclipse plugin and embeds all needed features and tools into the Eclipse IDE Workbench.

This report presents My IC Phone technology, the tools that need to be added, the framework architecture, and the development process.
