Abstract AR

Abstract EN

The fluorescence and quantum yield properties of PII, a potential drug for photodynamic therapy, have been investigated as a function of pH in aqueous solution.

Hence this investigation is useful to gain insight into the acid–base interaction.

The study shows the presence of three peaks with relative intensity strongly dependent on pH.

Further, the quantum yield of the fluorescence is a sensitive function of Ph.
