Abstract EN

This study aimed to examine the relationship between adopting negative and positive incentives by both public and private commercial banks and their impact on the behavior of their employees.

Positive incentives are reflected in the organizational commitment while negative incentives always give rise to a range of negative behaviors.

The study conducted a survey on (307) of the employees of these banks and found a strong inverse relationship between the adoption of negative incentives and organizational commitment.

It also found a strong extrusive relationship between negative incentives and the prevalence of negative behaviors.

However, it turned out that the negative incentives are responsible for almost 92% of the changes in employees’ organizational commitment, and 95 % of the changes are responsible for the prevalence of negative behaviors among the employees of commercial banks.
