Abstract EN
The present study aims at investigating the effectiveness of a suggested training program in developing rhetoric teaching skills of pre-service teach- ers in the lights of recent trends of teaching Arabic rhetoric.
Subjects of the present study consisted of thirty pre-service teachers of enrolled in the Educa- tional Diploma at Taif, Faculty of Education.
The researcher has developed a set of tools (a list of rhetoric teaching skills, a suggested training program, an achievement test, and an observation checklist).
Based on the analysis of the obtained data, results showed that there were statistically significant differ- ences at the level of (0.01) in means of scores obtained by subjects of the study as reflected in the pre-post tests and scores of collecting data (favoring the treatment group) especially in the achievement test in teaching Arabic rheto- ric for pre-service-teachers.
This indicates the effectiveness of the suggested training program in developing cognitive aspects of teaching skills necessary for teaching rhetoric to the target subjects of study such as Planning, applica- tion, and evaluation in the lights of recent trends to teach rhetoric to Arabic language pre-service teachers.
Moreover, the present study has also come up with some important recom- mendations and suggestions for further research that may help researchers in the field.
