English Abstract

Morocco has launched the program Moroccan Solar Plan which has an objective to reach 2000 MW in solar energy and 2000 MW in wind energy by 2020.

More intermittent and variable electricity will be produced and then injected into the Moroccan grid.

Thus, my thesis tries to study the problematic of renewable energy integration into the grid through different analysis.

The first chapter will present the general context of the thesis.

As it is important to determine how much RE could be integrated into the grid, the second chapter presents the determination of penetration rate of RE into the Moroccan power system by the year 2016 and 2020.

It also describes technical problems facing the utility to inject these RE power into the grid and presents Moroccan standards taken to overcome these problems.

The third chapter analyzes the Moroccan power system through power flow simulation using PSS/E for the year 2014.

During my internship at ONEE, the dispatching service needed an application that evaluates wind power forecast sent from another company.

These data are critical for the dispatching center and are used to prepare day and hour ahead planning for future electricity generation.

The fourth chapter presents the work done during my internship which is the development of computer application that evaluates wind forecast power for ONEE.
