English Abstract
This project consists of dqjloying a security solution for accessing and securing network resources using public key infrastructure and smart card technology as an alternative to existing security systems. Bearing in mind the lack of reliability of cunent systems and all the leaks that they have revealed, the proposed security strategy, based on cryptography, alms to procure substantial improvements in matter of authenticity, integrity and privacy. Users of an organization that implements such a scheme should be able to benefit fixitn the following services: » Smart card network authentication, • E-maU sigaing and encryption, • On disk Hie encryption, • VPN connection establishment and authentication. The administrators, as well, will be able to perform the following tasks: • Grant/Deny access to users to tbe network • Audit user^s iogon/IogofT events To this end, we have to identify and deploy the appropriate infrastructure to support the offered services and then configure them for the end users. This report starts by describing problems with existing security solutions.
Then, it defines the components of the proposed solution, exposes the deployment process of the infrastructure and the services offered and gives an evaluation of the security strategy.
