Research turns spotlight on the possibility that protests' may develop into riots at any stage, and refutes police tactics' reliance on force as a sole solution to contain demonstrators.

Importance of this research comes in the light of the increasing international concern with the matter of right to demonstrate in both international and local levels.

UN Report has noticed that most protests start peacefully and then develop into violence.

Report also stresses the importance of state's institutions role in creating a good and amicable ambience for exchanging views.

Human Rights Council also adopted in March 2013 a resolution on the promotion and protection of human rights in the context of peaceful protests.

Research turns spotlight on impact of police tactics used to contain protests and supports reliance of security tactics on the promotion of peaceful behavior among protesters.

Research suggests an ideal model in dealing with protests which is widely accepted in Europe.

The model is based on boosting peaceful behavior among protesters with the possibility of using force according to locally and internationally followed rules, however the model diminishes use of force to the minimum in case of restoring to it.

Principles of the new security tactics are hence based on granting rights; continuous dialogue; making distinction between protesters and focusing on values.
