Abstract EN
Police science is characterized by unique methodologies, deep subjects and independent ends.
Notwithstanding its relevance to other sciences, police science can still maintain its identity and independence.
Promotion of police sciences is deemed a perquisite for uplifting police performance; meeting its requirements and boosting capacity of police bodies to curtail crimes and delinquency.
Study draws a distinction between rooting or founding of police sciences and their promotion, and with this end in view, study sets forth key obstacles to promotion of police sciences in terms of dealing with police phenomena; police education institutions and scientific content of police sciences.
It also sets forth ecological obstacles to promotion of police sciences and physical obstacles to the founding or rooting of police sciences.
Research sums up with a host of findings and recommendations, the following are the key ones: boosting cultural, scientific, individual , institutional as well as local, Arab and international police sciences promotion efforts ; fostering communication between police thinkers and their counterparts in other fields with a view to boosting academic experiences exchange; development of police scientific staff and providing them with appropriate academic atmosphere; establishment of a record for police thinkers and finally making such record available to all members and police institutions for better promotion of police sciences.
