Abstract EN

This study, which entitled (The role of sport journals, in reinforcing the positive attitudes towards sport) Aims to investigate the professional and cultural abilities of the sport journals in forming the positive attitudes towards sport through their issues and deferent topics.

This has been done after analysing a collection of information and data included in a questionnaire answered by (101) persons as a sample involved to the study through their careers and academic responsibilities.

The researcher used the descriptive method that fits the nature of this study, depending on the (SPSS) analyzing programme, which has come out with the following results: - There is weakness in the professional performance of the sport journals.

- No care about sport cultural aspects and knowledge as an intellectual and emotional components that enhance positive attitudes towards sport.

The most important recommendations are: - To setup scientific specialists in the sport media areas.

- To deal with the sport culture and knowledge in the sport journals.

- To expand perceptual by objectivity and comprehensiveness of media coverage
