Abstract EN

This paper sheds some light on the main ideas involved in two theories of second language acquisition: the Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis (CAH) and Krashen’s Monitor Model (KMM).

In each, the researcher critically reviews the arguments for and against and their implications for the teaching of languages.
