Abstract EN

This research aims at shedding light on the issue of preposition phrase existence after the passive tense and the opinions expressed regarding this issue that created a state of confusion among grammarians and which is attributed to the existing conflict between commitment with syntactic rule and the preservation of meaning.

Therefore, the research analyses grammarians' opinions and the extent of its harmony with grammar rule and meaning.

The research tracks grammarians' theoretical and practical expressions so as to promote a fifth opinion almost equal in use with the four opinions grammatically known.

However, it is not proved in theoretical opinions.

The research draws a conclusion of an approach that does not prevent adopting a fifth opinion which states that preposition phrases are the subject of predicate in this regard so as to avoid complicating the issue.
