Abstract EN

This study was designed to investigate the effects of wikis on developing reading and writing skills of EFL college students.

The researcher designed an experimental pretest/posttest control group research method to explore the effects of using wikis on writing instruction outcomes and the learners' reading skills in the Blackboard® environment.

Findings showed improvements on the reading/writing performance of students and their performance on the reading test in favour of the experimental participants who received wiki modules on Blackboard.

Recommendations and implications for further research and pedagogy were forwarded at the end of the paper.
