Abstract EN

The vehicle’s accidents on the roads are daily problems that people of Yemen are suffering from that cause many losses and suffering heavy burden on harmed families and society in general and causing social and economical burdens.

The rate of accidents has increased in 2010 at 41.9% comparing the year 2000.

The annual average of the number of vehicles’ incidents of the roads during the period of the study 12807 incidents per year and the mean of incidents is 35 per day.

The rate has increased in traffic mortality in 2010 compared with the year 2000 at 93.8%.

the annual victims’ mean was 2459 mortality per year.

The average of mortality was seven cases daily.

The daily injuries were 43.

The rate of infringement has increased 59.9% in 2010 compared with the year 2005 at the number of 344307 infringements The rate of accident cases in 2010 compared with the year 2000 43.0% and the running over incidents were 25.4 %, and turning upside down were 93.1 % .

During the period 2000-2010 the material losses mean of annual incidents (2,400,737,421) Yemeni Rail.

These dangerous indicators show the great losses of injuries and victims, and problems of families without supporters , and youth hindrance, suffering and poverty, economical losses are increasing as a result of the increasing incident that increased annually on the roads.

It should be refered that traffic movement data in the governorates and at the level of the yemen .

There is a need to improve the methods of collecting data and forming base electronic data and its accuracy.

moreover, improving the method of preparing drivers and testing them, and continuous enlightenment of road users, the accurate test for vehicles , penalizing the traffic infringements according to laws organizing the traffic movement, and establishing sessions and conferences to study different problems in the field of roads and traffic .
