Abstract EN

The strategic process of upgrading consists of four basic stages: first, strategic diagnosis, followed by a second stage, choosing strategies.

Then a third stage, formulating the upgrading planning and finally as a fourth stage, executing and following-up the upgrading planning.

The strategic process is sequential and integrative; therefore any error in assessment or a bad choice of standard or enterprise model could affect the strategic process of upgrading.

In this paper we will try to study the strategic process of upgrading of SMEs as first part, and as case study in the enterprise GMS-Biskra, as second part
