Abstract EN
Unemployment is considered among the most difficult challenges which face many developing as well as developed countries, because it causes instability and disorder at the political, social and economic level.
Algeria, as one of the developing countries, has worked to tackle unemployment problem through a set of employment policies by the creation of several procedures and programmes, which deal with labour and employment in order to achieve stability in the labour market.
In this paper, we will try to focus mainly on the reasons which have led to the disequilibrium of the labour market and therefore an increase of unemployment rates, as well as, we will show the contribution of the various programmes and procedures that have been created to combat unemployment.
