Abstract EN
Background : This work aimed at correlating anxiety and depression scores on one hand; and chronic daily headache and its clinical variables on the other one.
Subjects and Methods: In the present study, 50 patients with chronic daily headache, 20 patients with chronic pains (non collagenic arthritis) and 20 healthy persons were examined and interviewed for depression and anxiety scales.
Results : Analgesic overuse was much more common in the headache group than the other 2 groups (P = 0.001).
Moreover, depressive and anxiety scores were much higher in the headache group than the others (P < 0.001, P<0.001 respectively).
Conclusion : anxiety and depression are related in some way to the chronicity of headache.
