Abstract EN

This study comes in the field of Narratology to classify a number of works of women autobiographies, which are branched from the tree of (autobiography) with its ambiguous shapes and branches.

Whereas, some of them were classified as emoirs such as: (On the Banks of Hyde Park Lake: memoirs of a Saudi student in Britain: aram Mekkawi; some of them are considered partial autobiographies such as: (Past - Single - Masculine for Omaima Al-Khamis, and Tear my Veil., to See for Huda Al-Daghfaq); and some can be classified as what is called ’’Self-drawing" such as: (40..

in the meaning that I grow for Laila Al-Jehani).

The thesis that these works seek to prove or disprove is summed up in the following question: Can these previous works be classified as one of the autobiography branches? The importance of the study's aims will be clear by answering the questions that were originated from the boundaries of the main thesis such as: Did the writer acknowledge - frankly or implicitly - that what she writes is classified under one of the autobiographical narrative branches? Was she afraid to declare or express this, so, her writings cannot be classified as narrative literature? Did she intend to write her autobiography, but she made a mistake in classifying it under the nearest branch of the autobiographical narratives? By answering these questions, it is clear that these works has opened a new stage in the Saudi woman's writings about herself, although they have some phenomena that indicated unconsciousness of necessary technical stipulations in writing this art.

It seems that courage was not complete to write full and complete autobiographies, so, they satisfied with trying disclosure and trying themselves in this field.
