Abstract AR

The research aimed at identify of impact when using the thinking maps in teaching economy for the school achievement of female students of the second secondary class – literary section – in Aden gouvernorat Republic of Yemen.

Sample of the research consisted of 132female students, distributed to three groups; each group consisted of 44 female students.

Both groups were taught, the experimental and the second control group by using thinking maps, while the first control group was taught the same content by using the traditional method, taken into consideration the groups equality of age and the scientific achievement of the previous year.

In addition to that, the pre-test was applied to the two groups, the experimental and the first control group, while the second control group was not exposed to it, to eradicate the probable effect.

To realize the goals of the research and to ascertain its hypothesis, standardise achievement test was used, consisted of 40 paragraphs was used multiple choice test.

The coefficient of reliability reached o.83.

SPSS was used at the stages of standardise and testing hypothesis.

The results indicated to differences of statistical significance between: The experimental group and the first control group at the post achievement test was in favor of the experimental group.

And the second control group and the first control group at the post achievement test was in favor of the second control group.

And the averages of the pre- test and the post test was in favor of the post test for the experimental group.

The results also indicated to differences of statistical significance do not exist between the experimental group and the second control group at the pest achievement test.
