Abstract EN

Metaphorical forming plays a significant role in structuring the poetic image in for the modem poet.

In this research, I will discuss the elements of metaphorical forming in (Night and Road) divan, by the Tunisian poet, (Al-Maidani) Ibin Saleh, for his rols in building the poetic image represented by simile, metaphor, as well as tools that form the focal point of metaphorical image of the poet like, landscape and the current reality, which includes changes and incidents that have afflicted the Arab situation.

The researcher has focused upon the image that has been formed of these elements, for which the psychological facts were a fruitful environment.

Metaphor in Ibin Saleh’s has shown poert artistic creative elements that represent stylistic phenomenon with artistic and ideological dimensions.

From vision and ideology side, metaphor has formed an artistic and integrated approach more than representing the physical side, through poet’s reliance on the personification and embodiment element.
