The present study aimed to detect the degree of Practice by the faculty staff members of the basic principles of effective teaching by answering the questions: What is the degree of practicing the basic principles of effective teaching by members of the teaching staff in Faculty of Education from the viewpoint of students? And Does the degree of practicing the basic principles of effective teaching by members of teaching staff in Faculty of Education from the viewpoint of students differs depending on their level of study? The study tool consisted of a questionnaire applied to a sample of (310) students from the Faculty of Education of King Saud University.

The sample formed nearly (30%) from the study population.

The results of the study revealed that the degree of practicing the basic principles of effective teaching by members of the teaching staff in the Faculty of Education was medium.

The results showed that there were no significant statistical differences between the means of students' responses due to the variable of the study year except the difference between the fourth and third year level student
