The work of Fransoa Abu Salem in Alhakawati Palestinian Theatre Company is considered to be an extension of other Arab theatre experiences that combined between the local and the global.

His work also read Palestinian reality in a political modern way inspired by local heritage.

His work also exposed the dialectical relationship between art and community in addition to the role of resistance theatre in resistance culture.

The work is done through the usage of mobile popular theatre explaining the concerns of Palestinians and social/political contexts under occupation.

The work is done using improvisation, group work, and popular performance; his work claimed him to be a pioneer in festive Arab theatre which aims at enhancing the relationships between people and rekindling collective memory.

The research aims at explaining the work of Fransoa Abu Salem and researching selection of his work.
