Small cell carcinoma of the lung in a treated case of myoepithelial carcinoma of the tongue : report of a rare case with illustrated review of the literature

Abstract EN

Myoepithelial carcinoma has rarely been reported in the oral cavity and oropharynx.

We found only 6 cases of myoepithelioma of the tongue reported till date.

Two cases had a benign myoepithelioma; four had epithelial-Myoepithelial carcinoma.

The present case had malignant myoepithelioma, a distinct entity from other histologies.
