Influence of foliar application of zinc on the growth, yield, and oil content of black cumin (Nigella sativa L.)‎

Abstract EN

This study investigated the influence of spraying of five foliar zinc application (50, 75, 100, 150 and 200 ppm) on growth, yield, yield components and oil percentage of black cumin crop plants comparing to zero zinc application.

The experiment consisted of six treatments of zinc fertilizers within three replications in completely randomized block design (CRBD).

Results revealed significant differences on capsules per plant, seeds per capsule, chlorophyll a, b and total content, 1000 seeds weight, biological yield, economical yield, oil percentage and oil yield.

where the lowest levels recorded with zero Zn application and the highest levels recorded with 200 ppm Zn foliar application which increased economical yield and oil yield to 1053.96 and 237.04 (Kg ha-1) respectively.
