Abstract EN

This study scrutinizes the new provisions recently introduced to the New Saudi Arbitration Law.

This movement, in fact, reflects a remarkable development in the Arbitration Law of Saudi Arabia.

The new Arbitration provisions support the establishment of a specific type of justice that is different from the jurisdiction of the ordinary courts.

The research falls into two sections: the first deals with Arbitration Law in terms of its scope of application, while the second deals with the provisions in terms of the arbitral process.

The study also includes an introductory section where the concept of arbitration has been defined and distinguished from other means of disputs’ settlement such as mediation, compromisation, reconciliation and proxy.
