English Abstract
This study aims at shedding light on the various linguistic features of the Jordanian comics.
The sample of the study consists of100 Jordanian sarcastic comics that have been drawn by five Jordanian cartoonists namely (Emad Hajjaj, Osama Hajjaj, Omar Al-Abdallat, Jalal Al- Refa’ee, Jehad Awrtani) ,twenty different pictures for each of them.
The researcher selected the sample of the study randomly.
Then, the researcher analyzed the data by classifying and calculating the percentage of each linguistic features within specific tables after doing the linguistic analysis for the five cartoonists.
The analysis and percentage of the linguistic features indicated that the pragmatic feature is the most common linguistic feature used by the Jordanian cartoonists.
Also there are some linguistic features take more time to be comprehended than the other ones.
And the linguistic features can’t be understood without being aware of the whole picture.
