Abstract EN

The French Ottoman relations is one of the most important topics in modern history ; for the ottoman empire depended on shared benefits in building its relations with France .

Such relation is rooted in the fifteenth century , though it reaches its peak in the second half of the sixteenth century .The ottoman state plays a crucial role politically and militarily on both the European and the Arabian fields , resting upon its advanced military force that enabled it to extend its power to the heart of Europe .

The political changes in Europe during this period lead France to reinforce its relations with the Ottomans since they share the enmity to Spain for domination over the European world .

This schism leads the ottoman to make military allay with France , stirred by the hared enmity for the Hebsiborg in Spain .

This paper sheds light on the Ottoman – French relations during the years 1535 – 1856 and the Russian position about those relations .

This period is chosen for the study because it included the major political developments that Europe has experienced since it was dominated by wars and revolutions between France and Spain which has its effect on the political stand in Europe .

The paper reveals the foreign privileges that greatly help in changing relations and power centers between the east and the west .
