Abstract EN

The present study targets at demonstrating salient aspects of the military and security life during pre –Islamic era as introduced in the ten great Arabian epic poems (almowalg aatalashar).

Since poetry reflects the true essence of the political, social and cultural life, the researcher chooses to consider different military situations which impinged on constancy of the Arabians throughout the period of pre Islamic age.

Needless to say that, the tribe was considered to be the most ever dominating power in the Arabian life.

According to its rules, regulations and instructions the war was declared, disputes were settled and peace agreements were assigned.

As it will be shown, many of these military and security indicators which presented in Arabian epic poetry for the duration of the pre Islamic era can only be viewed within the broad context of the tribe itself to manifest the military force of the tribe and accuracy of its war plans Furthermore, it is very rarely to find these indicators take self-nature tendency or trend as for those pomes written by (Antarra),(Ammroalgays) or (Alnabeegha).

All of these will be the major concern of this study
