Jhis paper concems with the spread of Islam in the Bija lands and its 'Impact of their life, specially the economic life.

The importance of this study came from the stratégie site of the Bija land, which extended from the eastern desert south of Egypt to the shores of the Red Sea.

This land jlso witnessed population interaction due to the number of land routes Crossing the area.

The study concentrâtes on ethnie origins of the Bija, the most important trade routes, the most important exports and imports, and the rôle of Arabs and Muslims in creating civilization changes in the area.
