Many expressions whether in Arabic or English can be used in order to show other meanings than their real ones and can change the form of the sentence from one form into another one ; thus this study is concerned with the semantic aspect of studying assertive and non-assertive interrogations in Glorious Qur'an with reference to their parallels in English .

Firstly , there should be a general definition for interrogation in Arabic and English , its articles , its purposes and meanings .

Then , the semantic explanation of this linguistic phenomenon in both languages .
