Abstract EN
This study aimed to identify the most common administrative leadership styles for managers of commercial banks’ branches operating in the cities of Tripoli and Benghazi, according to the theory of Likert Rensis.
The study sample has reached (87) manager, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the study followed descriptive analytical method.
The researcher developed a questionnaire based on some previous studies, which they were sure of their validity and reliability coefficient, and after the distribution of the questionnaire (78) form were retrieved for valid statistical analysis, and the analysis of the study data was done by computer and the use of statistical program software service contained in the (SPSS), of The results reached can be summarized as follows: as the study followed descriptive analytical method, where the basic data collection for the study by questionnaire , and after distribution of the study sample was retrieved (78) are valid for statistical analysis, and analysis of the study data form was used by computer and the use of statistical program of software contained service (SPSS), the study revealed the existence of two leadership styles (Autocratic Benevolent and Participative) in banks under study, but the dominant leadership style and the most common in these banks is Autocratic Benevolent.
Finally, the study recommended the expansion of the practice two styles Participative and Democratic to lead to the raise of the level of performance and through the development of training programs for managers aimed at developing their ability to deal with their subordinates to motivate them and involve them in decision-making and presenting ideas and discussing, as well as teamwork to achieve banks targets under study.
