Case study implementation-successful changes in higher education institutions through process standardization

Abstract EN

Higher Education Institutions (HEI) face many challenges with changing requirements considered to be one of these major challenges.

A sufficient strategy to enable successful changes is standardizing processes because throughstandardizing, the workload regarding the changes becomes manageable.

To reflect this effect this paper uses the implementation of case studies into an extensive lecture unit as an example.

Therefore a standardized process for the implementation is introduced.

Within the standardized process certain steps are defined to achieve learning and teaching objectives.

Besides a detailed description of the different implementation steps, advice regarding a concluding marketing strategy for the implemented case studies is given.

The utilization of the approach to standardize processes may give direction for further implementations
