Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the training requirements for social workers associated with the needs of working with individual cases of students with mediocre and average disabilities in complete integration schools.

These requirements are represented by cognitive needs, skills, and values, and finally those training requirements associated with social workers' trends in working with individual cases.

This study proposes a training program which could contribute to the fulfilling of those training needs for social workers.

This is a descriptive study that used a comprehensive survey approach to all social workers working in complete integration schools in Sohag to assess their training needs.

The study results show the importance of those training needs for social workers and that 79% of the training needs for social workers in general, and came cognitive training needs in the first place by 83%, and came in second skill training needs ranked by 80%, and then came in third value training needs ranked by 76%, and was associated with the training needs of trends of social workers working with individual cases of students with mediocre and average disabilities in complete integration schools by 74%.

In the light of these results and theoretical data for professional practice and therapeutic approaches relied upon in professional intervention in working with individual cases, a proposed training program is designed to redevelop the professional level of performance and to satisfy the training needs of those social workers.
