Experimental study of steady state natural convection heat transfer from vertical, horizontal and inclined heated cylinder with different cross sectional area situated in a vented enclosure, opened from the top and the bottom is performed.

The experiments results are obtained for the range of Rayleigh number (3.47 × 103 to 5.66 × 104), Nusselt number (5.54 - 23.48) and aspect ratio are (11

The experimental data is expressed in dimensionless groups and a single correlation for Nusselt number as a function of Rayleigh number for each angle of inclination to each aspect ratio is found.

The data is correlated to a formula that takes into consideration the above mentioned variables.

The heat transfer was found to depend on diameter, length and angle of inclination.

And a general correlation between the Nusselt number and Raylieh number is obtained from the experimental work.
