Abstract EN

Filter is an essential subsystem in a huge variety of electronic systems.

Filter applications are innumerable.

They are used for noise reduction, demodulation, signal detection, speech processing, and image processing.

In practice, no electronic system can exist without filters.

On the other hand the current –mode circuits give the potential advantages such as inherently wide bandwidth, grater linearity, wider dynamic range, simpler circuitry and lower power consumption.

Therefore, in this paper a new Current-mode Tow- Thomas biquad filter is presented.

The circuit is constructed using only two differential voltage current conveyors (DVCCs) as active elements, three grounded resistors and two grounded capacitors as passive elements, which are suitable for IC implementation.

The circuit simultaneously provides high-pass (HP), low-pass (LP) and band-pass (BP) responses.

As well, there is no need to impose component choice conditions.

Circuit operation in current mode is verified along with non-ideality study providing.

Sensitivity analysis also is provided.

PSPICE simulation program are used to verify the workability of the circuit.

The given results agree well with theoretical anticipation.
