Abstract EN
The effect of four levels of sheep manure, four various percent of satiated exchangeable sodium from sodium carbonate, and the interaction among them were studied on the hydraulic conductivity of three different textured soils selected from locations within Erbil Governorate.
The results, indicated that the addition of sodium cannot be considered as an only factor for evaluating reduction of hydraulic conductivity values, because the presence of organic matter has an effective influence on the results that may attained, and this effect changes according to the type of the soil texture.
These facts are noticeable especially in treatment of mixing the soil with 5% organic matter and the treatment of mixed soil under the combination of 5% organic matter with 50% sodium carbonate from clay soil.
