تأثير مستخلص عرق السوس على بعض قياسات الجسم و نسيج الخصية في الحملان الذكرية العواسية

Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to find out the effect of licorice extract on body measurements and histological changes of the testes in (18) Awassi male lambs at aged( 2 - 2.5 ) month.

Animals were divided equally in to 3 groups as following: Group (A) treated with licorice (300 mg/kg B.W/week) orally, group (B) treated with licorice (400 mg/kg B.W/week) orally and group (C) was kept as a control group.

The results revealed the followings: groups A and B showed Significant (p<0.05) increase in body length, chest girth and hip girth comparing with the control group, while group A showed mathematical increase compared with group B in front and back height.

The study of the histological changes showed superiority of group A compared with groups B and the control.
