The research aims to reveal the quality of the chemical text in a book (Principles of Chemistry) for the First grade Mediterranean's students in the Republic of Iraq, newly author by the Directorate General of curricula in the Ministry of Education this operation comes as part of the evaluation process for this book in the light of the important criteria related to the quality of the chemical text that characterized difficult, according to views of a number of teachers and is totally inadequate for the age group targeted in the First Mediterranean grade, so the research problem identified by asking the following - : - What is the quality level of the chemical text in the book (Principles of Chemistry) for First Mediterranean grade? And defined objectives of the research goals are: 1.

Identify the quality level of the chemical text in the book (Principles of Chemistry) for First Mediterranean grade.

2.

Identify the level of gender differences in the reading of the chemical text of the book (Principles of Chemistry ) for First Mediterranean grade.

The researcher used the descriptive approach, and re-quality chemical text test as a tool to achieve the objectives of the research, and identifies the research community middle and secondary schools in the province of Najaf Center was chosen two schools for males and two females were selected (222) students random sample of search, were four hypotheses zero position for the purpose of testing The results indicated a number of conclusions are - : The 35% of the sample had the chemical quality of the text when Cbati level test level, and 52% of the sample was within Aaltahlmy level, and amounted to of statistically significant differences in Achtbarjudh 13% of the sample at the independent level, as results showed the presence Chemical text depending on the sex differences in favor of females and results showed the presence of correlation albeit weak statistically significant between the performance of students and their achievement in the subject of the principles of chemistry.

Researcher also reached a number of conclusions and recommendations and proposals.
