Abstract EN

The research deals with one of the most important political issues among Muslims, that is the principle of consecrating the unity separation of the Islamic caliphate, where the Umayyad Andalusia can be considered as the carrier of this political project.

So the study tended to analyze the historical circumstances that contributed to the development of this conception in Andalusia.

The Abbasid have varied calls and purposes throughout the period of Islamic history in Andalusia, some of them came from outside of Andalusia, and others came from the inside, but they all did not succeed to subject Andalusia to Baghdad authority directly.

The study pointed out that Umayyad of Andalusia was able to rule the country solely while maintaining nominal allegiance to the Abbasid caliphate, rather than facing the successive revolutions that they have suffered from as a price for their resolution of secession.

The study monitored the deterioration of political thought among the Muslims represented by Abdul Rahman (Al-Nasser) trial to take the title of Al-Khalifa, without the slightest reaction from the public opinion of the Muslims in Andalusia
