Abstract EN

The digital preservation of document and information is considered as real obsession for all documentary institutions.

The fact that digital informations are vulnerable to lose over long term for many reasons.

Therefore, to ensure that conservation we should develop appropriate strategies based on several criteria.

Today, it has become inevitable for the archival to take responsibility to save informations and to choose the appropriate strategy for digital preservation and to propose effective standard solutions for this task.So, the archival here is in front of solutions as well as obstacles and challenges that make his mission so difficult, forcing him to face it in order to ensure the survival of his information in a changing digital environment.

From the above, this paper comes to focus primarly on its initial inventory and provides digital preservation challenges of the world as well as identify and adjust the conceptual issues in this area.Also, the paper presents a proposed strategy in order to confront this challenges using modern international standards in the field of documentation and information along the lines of the, ISO 18492, ISO 14872, ISO 14721, ISO 13028, NFZ42-013
